The moka pot gets a couture edition
This is the Moka Express — Bialetti's 1933 design, the same eight-sided aluminum shape sitting on every stovetop in Italy — repainted in Dolce & Gabbana's Sicilian Carretto print and signed on the collar like a garment. Nothing about how it makes coffee has changed. Everything about what it's allowed to cost has. Even the most democratic object in the country can be re-issued as a luxury good, if you dress it correctly. RR
