A garden that never grows

A garden that never grows

Behind the glass, a painted scene: nymphs, cypress, a stone bench under trees that will never lose a leaf, because they were never real to begin with. Green curtains pulled back like a stage reveal, framing one bottle — Acqua, from Santa Maria del Elba. The shop can't show you a scent, so it borrows an entire imagined landscape instead, asking you to smell what you're only ever shown. RR
