He reclines above the water the way a dinner guest overstays a chair — one arm slung back, weight sunk into stone worn soft at the edges. Two spouts run from where his hip should connect to the basin, quietly, like the fountain forgot he was ornamental and started treating him as plumbing. Nobody's told him the wall behind him is cracking. RR
